Social Issue/Problem
Wellbeing issues for high school aged girls around bullying, negative female body image, social media experiences, low self-esteem and confidence, negative emotional feelings towards attending schools and inability to recognise strengths in an educational setting.
JTLeadLikeAGirl is a way for young women to connect and empower each other. It is targeted towards young women and aims to empower young women with self-belief, confidence and courage to reach their full potential. The program strives to inspire young women to be confident and goal oriented but most importantly to be kind and shine a positive light on each other.
Solution
Over the ten- week program, participants will learn about what they uniquely bring to the world. The program is led by highly skilled and qualified staff that can connect with the youth. The program aims to bring young women together to create leaders for school with a focus on problem solving and resilience.
Key program topics: self-belief, leadership, teamwork, holding the ladder up for each other, being bold, shining the light on other women, brilliance, confidence, personal and career goal setting and planning.
Outcome
JTLeadLikeAGirl program is a standout program for young women, focused on developing leadership, teamwork, and other key skills that promote success throughout one’s life and career. The JT Academy engage directly with young women through interactive and inspirational workshops exploring personal development and achievement.
