Significant unmet needs in Hervey Bay particularly in the areas of harm reduction, crisis intervention and immediate access to support services for those experiencing substance abuse, homelessness and social isolation.
Solution
The Hervey Bay Hope project will expand the Drug ARM Street Outreach Service to the Hervey Bay region. A mobile outreach unit, staffed by skilled professionals and compassionate volunteers will operate throughout key areas in Hervey Bay delivering services in the streets, parks and other public spaces to reach people experiencing substance abuse, homeless and social isolation.
