Solution
Engage community service providers and all abilities community members in planning and delivering an Options Day event. The event will consist of information, awareness and activities promoting inclusion, diversity and equity with the aim to empower community members with a disability to connect to support or for wider community to connect someone they know for support.
Outcome
Options Day was successfully held with 350 people attending, 60 service providers holding stalls, and 5 local sporting, social and community groups attending. 100% of attendees on an event survey reported an increase in knowledge and understanding of community services and social and sporting groups available. 80% of attendees also reported feeling supported to achieve meaningful social connection. 96% of service providers further reported receiving new inquiries post event.
