Family & Baby (FAB) Network

Wide Bay Kids Community Inc.

The Family & Baby Network in Bundaberg had lost its facilitating organisation and had no leadership or funding to plan what would happen to the network that had supported organisations since its establishment in 1990.

The FAB Network Project undertook strategic planning and sustainability planning, engaging members to plan for the future of the network to continue providing assistance and collaboration.

5 general meetings were held to a total 69 attendees, 5 strategic planning sessions to 31 attendees, and 2 sustainability planning sessions to 20 attendees. From there a strategic plan and sustainability plan with actions was developed. From this 100% of FAB members surveyed reported the network was useful to them, 100% of members surveyed reported the network keeps them updated with service knowledge, and 89% of members surveyed found the strategic planning sessions beneficial. The FAB network is now implementing the plans and actions developed.
