Social Issue/Problem
A need to break down siloed community & clinical support services in the Bundaberg region which result in slower support for community members with immediate needs.
Solution
BNC engaged community in a number of community forums to map existing service gaps and identify areas where wait lists are occurring and blocking community members from immediate support.
Outcome
A model was then designed along with an action plan to share professional staff and attract more allied health practioners to the Bundaberg area. A “Working together commitment framework” has been developed with the model set to be trialled by Coral Coast Physiotherapy as the next step.
