The purpose of the Social Spark Lab is to ignite the imagination of young people, equipping them with the confidence, mindset, and practical tools to identify community challenges and create innovative, meaningful solutions.

The Social Spark Lab is grounded in the belief that:

• Young people are natural innovators when given the right frameworks and support.
• Imagination is a muscle – it grows stronger through exposure, curiosity, and creative practice.
• Community challenges require community-led solutions, and young people hold insights adults often miss.
• Purpose grows when young people feel heard, valued, and connected to something bigger than themselves.
• Hands-on learning builds confidence and creates memories that anchor skills for life.

We believe that sparking creativity early empowers young people to become lifelong community changemakers.

The Social Spark Lab aims to develop problem-solving, systems thinking and teamwork skills. By empowering Youth to identify real challenges within their community, community leaders can help guide them in designing imaginative, practical and sustainable solutions. The Social Spark Lab strengthens youth leadership, fosters social responsibility, and creates pathways for young people to influence real change within their school, neighbourhood, and wider community.
