Community Challenge

The Digital Gardens is built on the idea that nature, creativity, culture, and community learning are powerful contributors to wellbeing.

How This Project Works

The Digital Gardens is an innovative community-led experience located within the Hervey Bay Botanic Gardens. Visitors explore the gardens and scan QR codes placed throughout selected sites, unlocking short audio stories that invite reflection, learning, cultural awareness, and wellbeing.

Summary

The Digital Gardens is built on the idea that nature, creativity, culture, and community learning are powerful contributors to wellbeing.

The project is grounded in values of; Accessibility – free, inclusive, outdoors, anytime, Co-creation – stories and spaces shaped with community and Mindfulness & Wellbeing – encouraging people to slow down, notice, and connect.  This is not just a walk in the garden – it is a living learning space that grows and evolves with the community.
